Buff Club

Open 7 nights a week The Buff Club delivers connoisseur
clubbing for the discerning lovers of Vintage Disco, Funk & Soul...

Hidden away in the back lanes of Glasgow, there's a
mirror ball that never stops turning. Seven nights a week the
Buff Club opens it's doors to bohemian students, trendy
mature clubbers and to those who
are looking for a night with character. The Buff Club
remains true to it's roots bringing you the very best in funk,
soul and good times… if the flocked walls could talk they would have
a good few stories to tell…

Over two floors and with a DJ, bar and dance floor on both, the
Buff club is not shy for room to bust out the old classic climb the
ladder and feeding the pigeons moves.
But be aware, its not all smiles, as you best have a fat wallet
out with you because prises are high and the doors aren’t cheap
—even during the week...suppose, if that’s the price you have to
pay to keep trouble out and maintain an older and mature
type of person, they got to do what they got to do.

I would recommend it if your out with old friends and your
feeling rather flash with a good pay check sitting in the
bank waiting to be dented.

Morgans secret Party

The Sub Club are teaming up with Morgan's Spiced
Rum this weekend to take  you to party in a venue

got Detroit legend Terrence Parker and London
party boy Spencer Parker in control of the decks.

This event that they are holding is £15 a
pop and includes the bus ride to and from the secret venue.

This one sounds like an adventure you wont want to miss.
Who knows were they might take you for a rave.

               that matter.

And joining them are artists from all corners of the
planet, hand in hand with it's hedonists, the DJ's love it.

Nice 'N' Sleazy's weekend entertainment

Nice 'N' Sleazy's club weekend's are to
few and far between.

 The well established music venue/pub
only holds club night once the demanding rock followers
have their weekend fix of Rock. But when these weekends
do come along they attract a certain type of electro
dance music lover. The underground crew.

These guys only tend to pop there heads
up when doors are cheap and their click is in town. They are a
close nit community,
who's close friends are on the DJ
platform banging out their
selected acid house tracks, while the rest are
wobbling
about the dance floor giving out free love.
These night  may not have big named DJ producers on stage, but
what  they defiantly do have are big
hearted DJ producers who play for the crowed and
give them what
they want.

It's most defiantly a required taste for music lovers. But
if you are not scared of trying new things and meeting
new people, why not go along and give this night a try.

You might just have fun!!!!

The acid house music tracks being played are certainly
psychedelic and out of this world..... Pretty much like the crowed.

Nice 'n' sleazy

This week I'll be looking at Nice
'N' Sleazy music venue.
 This venue pretty much does
exactly what it says on the
tin -Nice 'N'  Sleazy. This poky but
happening venue is
situated on sauchiehall Street with only a 2
minute walk from
charing Cross rail station, so there will be know good
excuses  for mates not to get transport to your
well planned night out.
The venue is spread over two floors
with a barr for chillaxing up stairs
and a large dance floor down
in the basement area for the musicians
to do their thing. Nice 'N' Sleazy
is a well established venue when it comes to Glasgow's biggest
music lovers.

This Thursday in the cozy little venue there
will be a new club night called
In About It! The DJ's will be playing
House, techno and everything sub-bass.
As it is new I wouldn't want to give it a rating,
but at £4 for entrance it would be safe
to say it might be worth checking out.

The Arches weekend entertainment

Hello there, and thanks for coming back to my some what
personal, but hopefully insightful and helpful views of Glasgow's
 lively and extensive clubbing/music scene.

Staying with the superb venue, The Arches and
looking fourth to this weekends exciting and
talented DJ Wolfgang Gartner who
performs this Fri  (4th of March).
This one should not be missed. With his
very 1st tour of the UK
to date, this may be your chance to get
 a sneaky up close
and personal preview of a great
digital music producer before
he leap frogs to become one of the worlds
 top producers
in his genera. He is a Grammy-nominated America
electro house producer and DJ. His music
has been compared to the
likes of Deadmau5 and Justice . Much of his
 music prior to 2010 was
released through his own record label - Kindergarten,
but in 2010
he signed with Ultra Records.

Joey Youngman created the Wolfgang Gartner
name in late 2007 after establishing a
moderately successful name as a Deep House
DJ. Not wanting to be
criticized for such an abrupt change in style,
Youngman created
the name anonymously. Gartner's identity was
revealed officially in July 2008 and
he has probably never looked back.

So if I were you I would not be hanging around.
This is defiantly one for the weekend.
I will defiantly not be missing this one.

Peace out

Cameron

Welcome

HI, and welcome to my Glasgow Music/Clubbing blog.

Over the next five weeks I will be reviewing,
commenting and informing you on Glasgow's
vibrant and lucrative club scene for up and
coming events and looking at some of the finest DJ's to
grace Glasgow.

In my first blog I will be looking at Glasgow's
biggest Clubbing venue with a 3000 capacity
'The Arches'. The venue is set underneath a
railway bridge -hence the name The Archie's-
which gives it a grungy underground and
rough and ready feel. I know this is what
you fellow ravers crave. . Its all about the
music, good times and meeting new people
with the same interests and not about the
main stream money grabbing, pimped up
pretentious Club/Bars on Sauchiehall
street that bump out cheesy and manufactured
top of the pops garbage who's only interest is
cheap drinks that attract the undesirables......
We will not conform!!!!!!

One of The Archie's main student events 'Octo Pussy'
is every Wednesday. this club night has a bouncy
castle, ball pit, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and dozens
of stalls with fun and quirky merchandise like glow
sticks and water pistols. The resident DJ plays out
some of the most electrifying house/club beats of
the year. From the Swedish House Mafia to The Crookers.

This night is defiantly worth checking out at least once
and I will grantee it will be a night like no other.

Signing out Cameron.
